I am somebody who is very fond of maps. So for anyone else who enjoys maps, here are a few nice maps/pictures/map projects:
The first one is over at Earth 2 Tech and is a “Map of 101 CleanTech Startups by Craig Rubens”. The page has a link to the map towards the bottom of the article.
The next one is actually a map attached to the article “Hand of Man: No Seas Remain Pristine at Live Science by Andrea Thompson“. It has an amazing graphic of the globe and the impact of humans.
Head to “Mapping North American Environmental Issues via Treehugger’s Nomad Eliza Barclay” over at the Commission for Environmental Cooperation’s website for this next map. Here’s a link to the atlas itself.
Lastly, if anyone lives in Manhattan, heres an article called “Ecologist Maps Manhattan of 400 Years Ago by Bonnie Hulkower” at Treehugger. The map (actually a work in progress) was started by Eric Sanderson over at the Manhattan Project. There is a link at the bottom and the top of the article (both links say manhattan project but the first one is an article in the New Yorker called “Mapping Mannatta” with pictures of Manhattan and the second one goes to the Wildlife Conservation Society’s webpage on the project).
Sincerely-
Green Librarian
