Transportation

Speaking of going home and transportation (okay, it’s a stretch), I was just going through some old articles at my desk yesterday when I found this one on a three-wheeled hybrid called the VentureOne. The article is in the May 8th issue of PC Magazine. For more information on the web, check out this article from back in February at the blog autobloggreen. I’ve not been able to locate a company website.

I was also reading an another old article this morning about a car from Smart USA. This small car (8.8 feet long), is hoping to have at least a four-star crash rating and will average 40 miles a gallon when it comes out early next year.

Ride home

On my way home tonight, I was just in awe of the sky. There was a large ominous cloud that was overtaking the sun. Behind it you could see the rain coming down just west of where I was. It reminded me of a great book I read recently called The Cloudspotter’s Guide by Gavin Pretor-Pinney. The author is also the Founder of the Cloud Appreciation Society.

The nice part about this book is that it’s chocked full of science and yet I didn’t feel it was over my head. I also liked that it included a lot of historical background. I highly recommend it if your into clouds and weather.
