Fuel Choices

This is a post I meant to make the other day. I just noticed that one of our gas stations here in town has a sign out for flex fuel. While our family van can’t take flex fuel (though I’m still going to do some more research on that), there’s a nice article¬†that came out in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in June of last year about fuel options called Some Fuel Options Are Hard to Find.

Sea Turtles

This is one of those posts that I’ve been waiting to make for quite awhile. Earlier this summer I read the most amazing book, Voyage of the Turtle” by Carl Safina. To compliment it, I just came across an article in the New York Times called The Season for Sea Turtles. When I finished that book, I wanted to go out and save all the sea turtle. Add to the fact that I have a four year old daughter who loves animals (i.e. turtles) and as a child I loved turtles, it was an inspiring book to say the least.

I almost forgot. Here’s a great kids book that I would recommend and that my daughter loved. It’s called One Tiny Turtle by Nicola Davies (no relation).
