Environmental Hero

While Al Gore marches on with “An Inconvenient Truth” and Earth Day turns the page to 2008, quietly the world is made a better place thanks to people like Phung Tuu Boi. Mr. Boi, a forester and director of the Center for Assistance in Nature Conservation Community Development in Hanoi, has dedicated his life to repairing the ecological damage brought on by the Vietnam War.  To see for yourself, check out the article Through the Forest, a Clearer View of the Needs of a People in the September 9th issue of the New York Times.

In addition to that, there was an article just today at the Environmental News Network that tells of 11 new plant and animal species found in a remote area of Vientam called the Annamites Mountain Range.
