One more for the kids

Here’s an article that I just dug up and really strikes a chord with me. It was an article in USA Today a few days ago regarding efforts by cities to help pedestrians. Click here to read the article. It’s important to me as I have three young children. If you have young kids (still in school), check out this website on Walk to School Day.

Kids day

Being that I came across this article on an e-musical group called the Banana Slug String Band (I will try and locate it my local library later today and review it when I get a chance) this morning over at Ecospace.com, I thought I would mention a couple of other articles geared towards kids today.

The first one comes from over at Treehugger.com on the Swedish toy company called Playsam. Read all about it here. The other article is over at ScienceDaily.com about how you can help save the rainforest. It’s all right here.

One last note, I read on Greenbiz.com that Toys “R” Us is going to adopt tighter standards on toxics and toys. Yea!

Sincerely-
