Some of those species

As a follow up to We’re all in this together, here are a couple of articles on some of those species.

First up, squirrels and acorns. In “Bad News for Squirrels: Acorn Trees Go On Strike” by Josh Loposer over at Green Daily talks about a lack of acorns being produced this year. Hmmm?

Also, it appears as more information comes in about Climate Change, the more we learn like in “Future of Jumbo Squid Questioned” by Andrea Thompson over at LiveScience.

We’re all in this together

Here’s a nice article (and podcast) on the idea of mapping where species live.  It’s entitled “Malanding Jaiteh on Where Species Live” over at EarthSky.

It’s raining, it’s…

You get the idea but while we’re on the topic of water I thought I would throw out a this article on our Mighty Mississippi.

Entitled “Stricter Water Rules Coming for Mississippi” by Kim McGuire over at the Post-Dispatch is good news for fans of the river.

Okay, here’s another good article on the topic of water, this time on Lake Lanier in Atlanta. You can find “Good News for Atlanta: Water Rising in Lake Lanier” by John Laumer at Treehugger.

Thoughts turn to spring

As I was just reading my new issue of Seed Savers the other day, I came across “In Eat Local Movement, Cuba is Years Ahead” from Reuters over at ENN today.

Good Eatings!
