Family tree

I saw this article the other day, “Where Humans Split from Sharks” over at Science Daily and then I remembered this article over also over there entitled “Turtles Closer to Birds Than Lizards or Snakes“. Talk about a strange family tree!

Shall we dance?

Over the last few years there have been articles about mass deaths of not only bats (as talked about in the previous post), but also of bees and even frogs. Unfortunately, they may be related according to “Bat, Bee, Frog Deaths May Be Linked” by Jennifer Viegas from Discovery News via the Environmental News Network.

Scarry, Scarry stuff!

Batty

I hope that’s a word. Anyway, here’s a nice article from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about the endangered Indiana bats on the Mississippi river, “Biologists search for endangered Indiana bats on the Mississippi” by Susan Weich at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Sincerely-
