Okay, so the kids and I are back from our annual trip to our family cabin in Minnesota. We had a great time fishing (and releasing) a lot of sunnies, saw the headwaters (which I must say were rather low) and even went up to Evelth Minnesota to visit the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.
There’s nothing like watching a beautiful sunset almost every night before going to bed, listening to the loons in the morning or watching an amazing bald eagle diving for a little snack from the lake.
Just before we left however I saw this concerning article regarding the water temperatures of lakes and rivers over at USA Today. It’s entitled “Heat has Midwest in hot water” by Doyle Rice. I would have to say however, I didn’t really notice the temperatures so much as the low levels.
