Crossing the atlantic

When I saw this story today, I was reminded of a great book I read several years, Voyage of the Turtle: In Pursuit of the Earth’s Last Dinosaur by Carl Safina. He talked a lot about the journey’s that these amazing animals go on, traveling up to a thousand miles and more to return to where they were born.

Anyway, according to the article “Great White Shark Named Lydia Becomes First Known White Shark to Cross Atlantic” by Pete Thomas at GrindTV, Lydia has now traveled over 19,000 miles while crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Truly amazing.

Sincerely-
