Crocodiles & whales

These two animals, who seemingly are not related at all, do in fact have something in common. They both have jaws lined with conical teeth and a similar array of snout shapes. According the article over at Scientific American entitled “Why Crocodiles Look Like Whales: Shared dining habits have fueled a “remarkable” case of evolutionary convergence” by Brian Switek , the reason for this is convergence.
