People or sentient beings, it’s all in your perspective

So when I read this article, I was under the impression it was all about plants and animals when in fact, it’s all about people. The salmon people, bear people, oak people, raven people and others.

To get a better understanding of what I’m talking about, check out the article entitled “Why I obsess About the Names of Plants and Animals” by Pepper Trail over at High Country News. It may give you a whole new perspective on nature and the world we live in.

Greenland and fires

Two words I have to say I never would have put together and according to the Danish meteorological service (Greenland is technically an autonomously governing part of Denmark) there are no experts who specialize in Greenland fire.

The articles is entitled “Greenland, the land of ice and snow, is burning over at the Grist. The phrase that I’ve heard before is that Iceland is green and Greenland is ice.  Makes you wonder what’s burning.

Vacation time

TLL2

So for most of the last week, this is where I was, northern Minnesota or what I like to call heaven. It seems like every sunset we see up there is different. This year though, we also went up to Winnipeg, Canada and I must say we had a great time up there too. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of our time there. I’ll have to ask my daughter if she has any. I was busy just enjoying the moments.
