So speaking of insects, bees in particular

I’m sure I’ve said this before but almost since I started getting interested in photography, I’ve gotten very interested in taking pictures of insects and bees in particular. Now of course, the fact that I have a nice flower garden in the front yard doesn’t hurt to attract them.

Anyway, this article is a great resource for understanding bees, who they are and what they do in their daily lives. The article is entitled “What Is It Like to Be a Bee? A philosophical and neurobiological look into the apian mind.” by Natasha Frost over at Get Pocket. Very interesting read, if your in to bees, that is.

Australia

Watching and reading about the wildfires of Australia has been heartbreaking to say the least, from the kangaroo’s to koalas to even the smallest of insects and anthropods, according to tonight’s article entitled “Some of Australia‚Äôs Smallest Species Could Be Lost to Wildfires” by Helen Sullivan over at the New York Times.

It’s been so sad to watch this story unfold. Fortunately there have also been many amazing stories to come out as well and hopefully one day, we’ll learn from this story.

Sincerely-
