Lawn caring

As someone who already does this, who knew I was already hip. Perhaps I should tell my kids about this? Okay, maybe not.¬†Anyway, so reading this article let me know that at least to me, I’m cool. The article is entitled “Why the British Ecological Society President mows round the dandelions in her lawn” over at the British Ecological Society website. How cool is that?!

Living on the prairies

As someone who loves history, I’ve often wondered what this part of the country was like back in the day. At least up in north St. Louis, there appear to be 25 acres of prairie land. This according to the article entitled “Prairie Restoration Project is in Bloom in North St. Louis” by Jesse Bogan at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. From the pictures, it looks incredible.
