From the ground up

As someone who has rocks throughout the house, I have to say that this story was one that caught my eye immediately. My kids and I are always collecting them My daughter even did a science project on the rocks of Minnesota.

Just a couple of weeks ago I found one with some really cool fossils that I’m just dying to try and get out. It reminded me of the times when I did that back in school. Good stuff.

The article is entitled “Museum of Boulders Caught Between Rock and Hard Place” by Alistair MacDonald over at the Wall Street Journal.

Science center (and museum) starter

As someone who lives near both a science center and museum here in St. Louis, I think it’s great. Check out the numerous science centers and museums involved in the article entitled  “Citizen Science, Happening Now at a Museum or Science Center Near You! “By Arvind Suresh over at the SciStarter website blog.
